The White Oryx

Symbol of the tribe of Joseph, the white oryx is one of the rarest animals on earth. Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs depicted the oryx in profile, showing only a single horn, perhaps giving rise to the mythical legend of the unicorn

The Onager

“Who hath loosened the bonds of the swift ass?” Job 39:5.

Given the name Pereh in Biblical times, the swift, hardy onager, or Asiatic wild ass, has never been yoked or tamed. Hai Bar, a wildlife park near Eilat, is a refuge for the onager and other endangered species

The Adddax (Translated “pygarg” or “Dishon” in the bible)

The Addax has a split hoof and chews the cud so according to Jewish food laws a clean animal. Deut 14:5.
